About Yorkville University
Yorkville University is founded on the belief that education is a catalyst for transformation. Guided by a mission to democratize access to higher learning, Yorkville creates pathways for learners from all backgrounds to achieve their goals and advance their careers. Together with Toronto Film School, the university offers creative and academic programs at both the college and university levels, fostering a multidisciplinary environment where innovation and the arts intersect.
Since 2004, Yorkville has been one of Canada’s few private, for‑profit, degree‑granting universities, with campuses in Ontario, British Columbia, and New Brunswick. Its programs are designed to be rigorous, flexible, and industry‑informed, supporting learners in gaining the skills, knowledge, and professional designations valued by employers. Many of Yorkville’s students are adults balancing education with work and personal commitments, and the university’s flexible delivery ensures that learning enhances their lives rather than interrupting them.
Yorkville’s community is vibrant, diverse, and united by a shared commitment to access. Faculty and staff across teaching, operations, and technology work to remove barriers and expand opportunity, nurturing an inclusive and supportive environment for both learners and employees. Over the years, Yorkville has introduced several first‑of‑their‑kind programs, contributing to the evolution of Canada’s educational landscape while staying rooted in its long‑standing principles of relevance, quality, and achievability.
At its core, Yorkville University is defined by human connection, empowering people to reimagine their futures in a community built on opportunity, creativity, and growth.
