Field Service Technician (Bilingual - French/English)
Location: Montreal, QC (within 30 minutes of H8T 3E4)
Pay: Starting at $27.84 CAD/hour + mileage reimbursement
About the Role
Join TD SYNNEX as a Field Service Technician and play a critical role in keeping our clients' technology running smoothly. In this hands-on position, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain computer hardware systems across customer locations.
This is an excellent opportunity for early-career IT professionals looking to build technical expertise, gain field experience, and grow into advanced engineering or infrastructure roles .
To succeed in this role, you must be fully bilingual (French/English) and based within a 30-minute commute of H8T 3E4 .
What You'll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware and system components in line with manufacturer specifications
Replace defective parts and perform hardware installations and upgrades
Collect and communicate technical data to support teams for escalations and project planning
Follow established service procedures, documentation standards, and daily administrative processes
Deliver excellent on-site support and maintain positive client relationships
What We're Looking For
We're looking for candidates who are driven, reliable, and eager to develop their careers in IT field services.
Required Qualifications
Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
1-2 years of experience in IT support, field services, or hardware repair
Strong working knowledge of:
Computer systems and operating systems
Networking hardware and cabling standards
Servers, data center equipment, and power supplies
Ability to diagnose, repair, test, and replace hardware components confidently
Valid Quebec Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record (SAAQ abstract required)
Access to a reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
Preferred Qualifications
CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent OEM certifications
Experience working in customer-facing technical roles
Working Conditions
This position involves frequent travel and physical activity. Candidates should be comfortable with:
Local and occasional long-distance travel, including potential air travel
Working in tight or confined spaces (e.g., under desks, kiosks, or counters)
Climbing ladders (up to 12 feet)
Bending, lifting, and moving equipment (up to 75 lbs unassisted)
Participating in on-call rotations and after-hours support

Actual compensation is based on skills, experience, and location.
Starting hourly rate: $27.84 CAD+

Aperçu du poste
Chez TD SYNNEX, le/la technicien(ne) de service sur le terrain joue un rôle essentiel dans le maintien des systèmes technologiques de nos clients. Vous serez responsable du diagnostic, de la réparation et de l'entretien du matériel informatique directement sur site.
Ce rôle constitue une excellente opportunité pour les professionnels en début de carrière souhaitant développer leurs compétences techniques et évoluer vers des postes spécialisés en TI .
Ce poste exige le bilinguisme (français/anglais) et une résidence à moins de 30 minutes du code postal H8T 3E4 .
Responsabilités
Diagnostiquer, dépanner et réparer les équipements informatiques selon les spécifications des fabricants
Remplacer les composants défectueux et effectuer des installations de matériel
Fournir des informations techniques pour soutenir le diagnostic avancé et la planification des projets
Respecter les procédures, la documentation et les tâches administratives quotidiennes
Assurer un service client de qualité et bâtir de bonnes relations avec les clients
Profil recherché
Qualifications requises
Bilingue (français et anglais, oral et écrit)
1 à 2 ans d'expérience en support TI ou réparation de matériel
Connaissance des :
systèmes informatiques et systèmes d'exploitation
équipements réseau et normes de câblage
serveurs, centres de données et alimentations
Capacité à diagnostiquer et réparer efficacement les systèmes
Permis de conduire valide (classe 5 - Québec) avec dossier SAAQ satisfaisant
Accès à un véhicule personnel
Atouts
Certification CompTIA A+, Network+ ou équivalent
Expérience en service technique auprès des clients
Conditions de travail
Déplacements fréquents (locaux et longues distances)
Travail dans des espaces restreints
Utilisation d'une échelle (jusqu'à 12 pieds)
Capacité de soulever jusqu'à 75 lb
Disponibilité pour horaires variables et soutien en dehors des heures normales
