Position Overview

The Marketing Coordinator position works closely with the Marketing Manager to build equity in the Maizex brand across Canada, support the sales team and dealer network, organize various events and meetings, and communicate corporate and product information to both internal and external stakeholders. This is a dynamic role that presents an exciting opportunity for professional growth and exposure to the agriculture industry with Canada’s premier growing seed brand. The successful candidate will be a part of a focused and dedicated team that enjoys day-to-day autonomy to move quickly and execute at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Event planning & trade show coordination; the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

• Post, curate, and interact on all social media platforms on a daily basis; assist in the development of the social media strategy and creative contentGraphic design for social media, signage, and other projects.

• Support the Marketing Manager and other departments with various communications efforts to both internal and external audiences; coordinate the publication of various communications via the company website, email marketing software, internal emails, and print shops.

• Coordinate the sourcing and procurement of signage/display and promotional items.

• Organize and maintain internal photo and asset library.

• Assist with the maintenance and updating of the company website.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

• Most important is the ability to quickly learn and master new software.

• Above-average written communication skills are required.

• Experience in developing social media content.

• English is essential; bilingual in French would be an asset.

• The ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities is important. The ideal candidate will be one who is an independent self-starter who can effectively organize their workload.

Desired Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, communications, graphic design, or related field is preferred.

• Experience in agriculture or the seed industry an asset..

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• The ability to travel in Canada or abroad on occasion is required.
