The Role At A Glance:

As the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will be the technical reference for Dulcedo’s Accounts Payable function, ensuring the team operates efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with internal processes and financial controls. 

You will provide day-to-day leadership to the AP team, coordinate priorities, oversee the quality of the work, and support the resolution of complex cases. Working closely with Finance, Talent Management, Agents, and Operations, you will help ensure that invoices, talent-related payments, vendor accounts, and other financial obligations are processed accurately and on time. 

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will support and develop the team while remaining actively involved in AP operations when needed.

Your Role In Action:

• Team Leadership:  Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to the AP team while helping employees develop their technical skills and autonomy. 


• Work Allocation & Prioritization:  Organize and prioritize daily workloads to ensure invoices, payments, and other AP activities are completed accurately and within deadlines. 


• Quality & Accuracy:  Review AP transactions and processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, proper coding, and compliance with internal procedures. 


• Talent & Vendor Payments:  Oversee the processing of payments related to talents, agents, vendors, suppliers, freelancers, and other business partners. 


• Complex Issue Resolution:  Act as the escalation point for complex invoices, payment discrepancies, vendor inquiries, coding issues, and other AP-related matters. 


• Process Management:  Ensure AP procedures are consistently followed and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and controls. 


• Process Improvement:  Contribute to the optimization and automation of AP workflows, including improvements to NetSuite and other financial systems. 


• Problem Identification & Escalation:  Identify recurring issues, operational risks, and process gaps, escalating them appropriately and proposing practical solutions. 


• Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Work closely with Finance, Talent Management, Agents, Operations, and other internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth financial operations. 


• Hands-On Support:  Remain involved in day-to-day AP activities and step in directly when additional operational support is required.

What You’re Bringing With You

• 5+ years  of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or financial operations;


• Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring an AP or accounting team;


• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, invoice processing, payment cycles, vendor management, and account reconciliations; 


• People-oriented , with strong interpersonal and leadership skills and a genuine ability to build trust, support team development, and foster collaboration; 


• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy; 


• Experience working with an ERP system;  NetSuite experience is considered a strong asset; 


• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines; 


• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex or sensitive financial matters; 


• A hands-on approach and willingness to remain involved in day-to-day operations;


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across Finance, Talent Management, Agents, and Operations; 


• Experience in a talent agency, entertainment, media, advertising, creative, or similar industry is an asset; 


• Bilingual in English and French.

$75,000 - $80,000 a year
