This position suits PGY4/5 FRCPC Emergency Medicine Residents ready to transition into practice. Owen Sound hospital serves as a Level 2 regional referral center with around 33,000 annual ER visits. The facility is equipped with advanced labs, comprehensive diagnostic imaging, and specialty support available at all times. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage emergency cases under supervision of ED staff
- Utilize modern diagnostic tools for patient care
- Collaborate with specialists for comprehensive patient treatment
- Participate in continuous medical education and training
- Ensure compliance with ACLS/ATLS/PALS standards
- PGY4/5 in an FRCPC Emergency Medicine Program
- Valid ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications
- Commitment to patient-centered emergency care
- Availability for shifts with double coverage
- Willingness to engage in ongoing learning
