Medical Director Strategy Content Lead

Lead medical strategy and content at BGBx, guiding brand execution, scientific quality, and client-facing work across pharmaceutical communications.

The Medical Director serves as the medical strategy and content lead for assigned brands. This senior role guides teams from kickoff through execution, reviews deliverables, and supports strategy-heavy projects. It also requires onboarding, training, and mentoring Associate Medical Directors, Senior Medical Writers, or Medical Writers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee translation and execution of brand strategy and client expectations
• Provide strategic guidance on messaging, style, and deliverables
• Lead content planning, timing, benchmarks, and project kickoffs
• Communicate clearly with clients and key opinion leaders
• Partner with creative, strategy, account, and other departments

Requirements:

• Advanced degree such as PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent
• Three to four years in pharmaceutical advertising
• Experience with healthcare professional promotional workstreams preferred
• Experience managing and mentoring junior medical team members
• Success partnering with creative, strategy, and account teams
