We are seeking an Account Manager who wiill own the merchant relationship for our Pay by Bank products. You'll work closely with Business Development in seamless transition from onboarding to launch, and become the trusted advisor who keeps merchants satisfied and growing with us year over year.

This is not a role where you inherit a book of accounts and coast. You'll be the person merchants call first, the one who spots the next opportunity or issue before anyone asks. When a merchant needs to understand how Pay by Bank is helping their customers checkout faster, or wants to expand into new offerings and product enhancements, you're the one making it happen.

What You'll Do

Own the Relationship

Be the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for your portfolio of merchants. You own their satisfaction, their retention, and their experience with Paramount Commerce.

  • Build strong relationships through consultative engagement, educating merchants on product features, new offerings, and industry trends
  • Conduct regular business reviews to confirm merchants are getting value, address issues, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Provide clear, accurate guidance on industry regulations, compliance requirements, product updates, and project milestones
  • Handle both routine operational requests and complex projects or integrations, removing roadblocks to drive early adoption and value
  • Manage service requests, gather product feedback, and drive escalations through to resolution

Drive the Growth

Turn healthy relationships into measurable growth. You're accountable for the trajectory of your accounts, not just their stability.

  • Achieve revenue targets within assigned accounts through strategic relationship management and consultative engagement
  • Gain deep insight into each merchant's business model to position and upsell our solutions, growing the portfolio and optimizing payment performance
  • Build and execute account plans, leading up-sell and cross-sell of additional Pay by Bank products and functionalities
  • Monitor processing activity, analyze trends, and communicate key insights to merchants to support informed decisions and proactively flag risk

Be the Voice of the Market

Know your sector and bring that intelligence back inside.

  • Develop deep knowledge of our payment technology and services, and communicate product capabilities clearly to meet merchant needs
  • Monitor competitive offerings, industry trends, and regulatory changes to inform account and sales strategy
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Support, Operations, Finance, Product, Risk, and Marketing to resolve inquiries and relay merchant feedback
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product on tailored initiatives that strengthen merchant partnerships where a strong business case exists
  • Use the CRM to manage the full account and sales cycle, track pipeline, and report on activity and outcomes with accuracy and consistency

Who You Are 

  • A Growth Minded Partner: You view account management as a relationship to grow, not just a contract to maintain. You love being the person merchants trust, and you're equally comfortable untangling an onboarding hurdle or driving a quarterly business review.
  • An Experienced Relationship Manager: You bring 5+ years in account management, e-commerce, or B2B sales, managing the full lifecycle from onboarding to growth. Experience in fintech, payments, or technical sales is a major plus.
  • Commercial and Analytical Fluency: You know how to build a relationship and hit a number. You use a data-informed approach to spot processing trends and turn them into clear, actionable advice for your merchants.
  • Organized and Self-Directed: You are highly organized, comfortable juggling shifting priorities, and great at solving problems independently. You're proficient in Excel and seasoned in using a CRM.
  • A Trusted Communicator: You are a collaborative team player with top-tier presentation, listening, and negotiation skills. You bring a positive, results-driven energy and are ready to travel within North America as needed.
  • Ready for Full Ownership: You want true ownership of the full merchant journey at a payments company that processes real volume.

Salary Disclosure: The base salary range for this role is 80,000 to 100,000 CAD. Variable pay is in addition to the base salary and is paid quarterly.

Ce n’est pas un poste où vous héritez d’un portefeuille de clients pour ensuite vous laisser porter par le courant. Vous serez la première personne que les marchands appelleront, celle qui repère la prochaine occasion d’affaires ou le prochain problème avant même qu’on ne le demande. Lorsqu’un marchand aura besoin de comprendre comment Pay by Bank aide ses clients à passer à la caisse plus rapidement, ou qu’il souhaitera s’étendre vers de nouvelles offres et améliorations de produits, c’est vous qui ferez bouger les choses.

Vos responsabilités

Assurer la gestion complète des relations

Soyez le point de contact principal et la personne-ressource de confiance pour votre portefeuille de marchands. Vous êtes responsable de leur satisfaction, de leur fidélisation et de leur expérience globale avec Paramount Commerce.

  • Bâtir des relations solides grâce à une approche consultative, en informant les marchands sur les fonctionnalités des produits, les nouvelles offres et les tendances du secteur.
  • Mener des revues d’affaires régulières pour confirmer que les marchands tirent pleinement profit de nos solutions, résoudre les problèmes et cibler les pistes d’amélioration.
  • Fournir des conseils clairs et précis sur les réglementations du secteur, les exigences de conformité, les mises à jour de produits et les étapes clés des projets.
  • Gérer à la fois les demandes opérationnelles courantes et les projets ou intégrations complexes, en éliminant les obstacles pour favoriser une adoption rapide et génératrice de valeur.
  • Traiter les demandes de service, recueillir les commentaires sur les produits et assurer le suivi des escalades jusqu’à leur résolution.

Transformez des relations saines en croissance mesurable. Vous êtes responsable de la trajectoire de vos comptes, et non pas seulement de leur stabilité.

  • Atteindre les objectifs de revenus au sein des comptes assignés grâce à une gestion stratégique des relations et à un engagement consultatif.
  • Acquérir une compréhension approfondie du modèle d’affaires de chaque marchand afin de positionner et de vendre des solutions complémentaires ( upsell ), d’agrandir le portefeuille et d’optimiser la performance des paiements.
  • Élaborer et exécuter des plans de compte, en menant des stratégies de vente incitative ( up-sell ) et croisée ( cross-sell ) pour les produits et fonctionnalités additionnels de Pay by Bank .
  • Suivre l’activité de traitement, analyser les tendances et communiquer les faits saillants aux marchands afin de soutenir des décisions éclairées et de signaler les risques de manière proactive.

Être la voix du marché

Maîtrisez votre secteur et ramenez cette veille stratégique à l’interne.

  • Développer une connaissance approfondie de notre technologie et de nos services de paiement, et communiquer clairement les capacités de nos produits pour répondre aux besoins des marchands.
  • Suivre les offres concurrentes, les tendances du secteur et les changements réglementaires afin d’orienter la stratégie de compte et de vente.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes des Ventes, du Soutien client, des Opérations, des Finances, des Produits, des Risques et du Marketing pour résoudre les demandes et relayer les commentaires des marchands.
  • Collaborer avec le Marketing et les Produits sur des initiatives sur mesure qui renforcent les partenariats avec les marchands lorsqu’une analyse de rentabilisation solide le justifie.
  • Utiliser le CRM pour gérer l’ensemble du cycle de compte et de vente, suivre le pipeline et rendre compte des activités et des résultats avec précision et cohérence.

Votre profil

  • Un partenaire axé sur la croissance : Vous considérez la gestion de compte comme une relation à développer, et non comme un simple contrat à maintenir. Vous aimez être la personne en qui les marchands ont confiance, et vous êtes tout aussi à l’aise pour démêler un obstacle d’intégration que pour animer une revue d’affaires trimestrielle.
  • Expérience en gestion de relations : Vous possédez plus de 5 ans d’expérience en gestion de comptes, en commerce électronique ou en ventes B2B, couvrant l’ensemble du cycle de vie client, de l’intégration à la croissance. Une expérience dans la fintech, les paiements ou la vente technique est un atout majeur.
  • Aise commerciale et analytique : Vous savez comment bâtir une relation tout en atteignant des objectifs chiffrés. Vous utilisez une approche axée sur les données pour repérer les tendances de traitement et les transformer en conseils clairs et exploitables pour vos marchands.
  • Sens de l’organisation et autonomie : Vous êtes hautement organisé(e), à l’aise de jongler avec des priorités changeantes et excellent(e) pour résoudre les problèmes de manière indépendante. Vous maîtrisez Excel et possédez une solide expérience avec les outils CRM.
  • Communication de confiance : Esprit d’équipe et collaboration définissent votre approche. Vous possédez d’excellentes compétences en présentation, en écoute et en négociation. Vous apportez une énergie positive, axée sur les résultats, et vous êtes prêt(e) à voyager en Amérique du Nord au besoin.
  • Prêt(e) pour une pleine autonomie : Vous recherchez une réelle prise en charge de l’ensemble du parcours marchand au sein d’une entreprise de paiement qui traite des volumes importants.

Divulgation salariale : Le salaire de base pour ce poste se situe entre 80 000 $ et 100 000 $ CAD. La rémunération variable s’ajoute au salaire de base et est versée trimestriellement.
