Calgary Building Systems Manager Role

Take on a pivotal role as a Building Systems Manager for PCL Construction Management Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, focusing on mechanical and electrical aspects. This position involves overseeing the implementation of building systems to align with project specifications and quality requirements. You will be responsible for reviewing contractor progress, processing submittals, and ensuring compliance with building codes. Your leadership will ensure effective communication and coordination across various trade partners and project teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate trade progress against standards
- Process critical building systems documents
- Lead the coordination of architectural and engineering drawings
- Negotiate and manage change orders effectively
- Support project teams throughout the design process
- Trade qualification or relevant degree in a construction discipline
- 10+ years in mechanical and/or electrical construction
- Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations
- Experience in managing contracts and trade obligations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
