Director, Planning and Integration

The Mint is hiring a Director, Planning and Integration who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Operations, the Director, Planning & Integration is the strategic architect of our operational engine. This role is responsible for the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all business processes that drive manufacturing including short term scheduling and long term planning. Overseeing a $120M budget, 400+ front-line resources, and 250+ pieces of equipment, the Director ensures that our multi-site operations (Winnipeg and Ottawa) are synchronized, data-driven, and technologically advanced.

The Director acts as a senior advisor to the VP of Operations and Senior Directors, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Logistics and Inventory in Ottawa and Winnipeg, serving as the primary liaison between Operations and Corporate IT, Finance, and Commercial teams for matters related to business processes, planning and systems.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead strategic production planning across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring efficient, achievable, and financially sustainable operations.
• Optimize manufacturing performance by aligning workforce, equipment capacity, materials, and supply chain requirements.
• Provide operational insights through scenario planning, risk management, and business process innovation.
• Oversee ERP/MRP systems and drive continuous improvements to support inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and user effectiveness.
• Champion data governance and analytics, ensuring data integrity and delivering actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Lead the adoption of AI and digital solutions to enhance operational performance, automation, and productivity.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and organizational change management.
• Lead and develop a team of professionals while collaborating with Finance, Commercial, Engineering, IT, and Manufacturing stakeholders to align operational plans with business objectives.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring on-site presence at our Ottawa/Winnipeg location three to five days per week, depending on meeting requirements and other activities.

Qualifications

Languages Requirements

Proficiency in both official languages (English / French) is required at the time of hire. If no qualified candidate fully meets the required levels, other candidate language profiles may be considered in accordance with the Mint’s Staffing Policy. The linguistic profile for this position is:

• Written Expression : B Intermediate
• Oral Proficiency : C Advanced

Education & Designation

• University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s in Data Analytics is an asset.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of related business experience
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in manufacturing operations, with a heavy focus on MRP/ERP systems (specifically Microsoft ecosystem)
