Job Description: Planning Director, Estate & Financial Planning Services Advanced Wealth Planning for High-Net-Worth Clients

About the Opportunity

Join SunLife Financial as an Estate & Financial Planning Services Planning Director where you'll make a meaningful impact on clients' financial futures. In this role, you'll partner with our network of SunLife Advisors to develop comprehensive financial strategies for high-net-worth individuals and business owners, while contributing to the growth of our financial planning capabilities across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Design advanced, holistic financial plans addressing retirement, tax optimization, risk management, and estate planning strategies
• Develop specialized strategies for intergenerational wealth transfers and business succession planning
• Deliver regional training sessions and client seminars on advanced financial planning topics through both virtual and in-person formats
• Collaborate with insurance specialists and case managers to provide integrated solutions
• Build and nurture relationships with field leaders, advisors, and senior stakeholders
• Stay current with evolving tax regulations, estate law, and wealth management best practices

What You Bring

• Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation (required)
• Minimum 7 years of financial planning or related experience
• Professional credentials such as TEP, CLU, or CPA (preferred)
• Deep expertise in financial planning principles, wealth management, tax, and estate planning
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
• Proficiency with financial planning software (Conquest experience is a plus)
• Excellent communication abilities and proven relationship-building skills
• Self-directed approach to work with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Comfort with digital collaboration tools (MS Teams) for remote client engagement
• Agricultural tax knowledge is an asset

Salary Range: 110,000/110 000 - 180,000/180 000
