The Role This position is within a business unit that has multiple and varied responsibilities, including investment performance oversight, reporting & analysis, investment risk management and strategic initiatives related to investment mandate/strategy enhancements. The incumbent will engage and interact with executives and senior staff (both within Investment Management and across the organization) in fulfillment of several of these roles. This role is can be Winnipeg/Toronto based. Key Accountabilities:

• Represent investment management as the data champion including working with the Investment Boutiques and IGM's Data Office to optimize data quality, storage, access and delivery for both proprietary and non-proprietary (e.g. Eagle, FactSet) databases.
• Support CIO investment performance and risk management functions for all existing mandates/strategies, including oversight of account master attributes, development of reporting/visualization and attendant analytical insights.
• Support the CIOs and VP, Investment Management with mid-large strategic initiatives by providing analytical insights into new or existing investment mandates/strategies.
• Represent investment management in advancing emerging technology capabilities such as GenAI including engagement with external partners to understand new and current technologies.
• Represent investment management at Mackenzie's product disclosure certification processes.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in a related discipline; master's degree or industry specific courses is an asset
• 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Command of visualization tools, query languages and MS Office Suite. Technology preferred: Google/AWS/Azure Cloud, Python, Oracle, SAP Hana, SQL server, Tableau, Looker.
• Command of Bloomberg, FactSet, and Eagle is an asset.
• Understanding of capital markets, investment concepts, performance & risk measurement techniques and the Canadian Mutual Fund industry.
• Enrolled within CFA program or designation (preferred).
• High level of initiative with strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance multiple workflows and produce results with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work within teams and individually.
