Project Administrator
Saskatchewan First Nations Family and Community Institute
The Institute’s Income Assistance Reform project (IA Reform Project) works in partnership with Saskatchewan First Nations to build tools to support their goals in reforming the existing social assistance program to better meet the needs of their members. The Project Administrator serves as the operational lead of the Income Assistance Reform project, with responsibility for the following: coordinating and tracking project deliverables, activities, and tasks across multiple workstreams; monitoring timelines and following up on action items; identifying challenges or delays and bringing them forward for discussion and resolution; and ensuring that administrative tasks required to keep the project moving are completed.
The role works out of the Institute’s offices in Grasswood during regular business hours (8:30am-4:30pm); occasional non-standard hours and travel may be required.
Salary Range: commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Successful Applicant Will Possess
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of project administration experience is required, demonstrating familiarity with project management/tracking tools. Experience performing this work within a First Nations organization or community environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of issues surrounding the challenges faced by First Nations children, youth and families in Saskatchewan.
- Knowledge of First Nations social development programs and services (particularly income assistance), as well as their provincial and federal equivalents.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record check.
