Administrative Assistant - Accounting Support

The Saskatoon Industry Education Council is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Administrative Assistant to provide direct administrative and office management support to the SIEC team.

This position plays an important role in supporting day-to-day office operations, financial and accounting processes, program and event logistics, website and social media updates, and general administrative functions. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic office environment and will bring a professional, welcoming, and service-oriented approach to their work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide general administrative and day-to-day office support to the SIEC team, including correspondence, document preparation, responding to calls and emails, maintaining records, and coordinating supplies.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including invoices, payments, expense tracking, and financial records.
  • Support program and event logistics, including registration, materials, setup, onsite support, and follow-up.
  • Communicate with partners, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, participants, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate registration records, program information, evaluation data, and electronic filing systems.
  • Assist with website updates, social media scheduling, and the creation of promotional materials.
  • Perform other administrative and program-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in an administrative or office support role
  • Experience with bookkeeping and accounting software; QuickBooks experience is preferred
