Assistant Event Coordinator

Job Responsibility:

Position Overview: Burning Kiln Winery is seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Event Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of winery events this season. This role is perfect for someone passionate about hospitality, events, and creating memorable guest experiences. The Assistant Event Coordinator will work closely with the Events Manager and other winery staff to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with event planning, setup, execution, and teardown.
• Support day-of event coordination, ensuring timelines are met and issues are handled professionally.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and guests.
• Help maintain inventory of event supplies and manage event setup materials.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as event orders, schedules, and checklists.
• Support on-site problem-solving and guest service.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in event coordination, hospitality, or related fields preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a team player mindset.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain) is an asset.
• Access to reliable transportation.

This position is a full time, seasonal job from May through October.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, SeasonalContract length: 5 months

Pay: From $18.20 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 44 per week
