About the Role

The Junior Business Analyst supports the delivery and ongoing improvement of technology solutions that enable high-quality health care services across Saskatchewan. This role works closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, analyze processes, support implementations, and assist with training and incident management activities. Success in this role comes from building strong relationships, solving problems collaboratively, and translating business needs into effective technology solutions.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Manager, Specialty Care Services, you will:

• Gather, analyze and document business processes, requirements and functional specifications.
• Support initiatives by collecting, prioritizing and managing business requirements.
• Collaborate with end users, customers and third-party service providers to identify and address business needs.
• Assist with the implementation, testing, adoption and support of technology solutions.
• Develop and maintain business documentation, including requirements, process documentation, test plans and meeting records.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology, automation or process redesign.
• Participate in projects and change initiatives to ensure solutions are effectively transitioned into operational support environments.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Up to one year of experience working within an integrated IT support environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of business analysis practices, including requirements gathering, process improvement methodologies and information analysis techniques.
• Experience supporting the implementation, testing and adoption of technology solutions.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to develop business requirements, test plans, schedules and process documentation.
• Knowledge of IT architectures, application software and system integration concepts is an asset.
• ITIL certification, ECBA certification, or other business analysis certifications are considered assets.

Analytical: Ability to gather, interpret, and evaluate information, processes, and business requirements to support recommendations, process improvements, and technology solutions.
Technical: Ability to understand business applications, system functionality, testing processes, and technology concepts to support solution implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
