Junior Accountant

Preferred Energy Inc is looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to work in their Estevan office. This position has the possibility of being filled in Regina with the understanding that there is a requirement to occasionally travel to the Estevan office.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and maintain general ledger accounts, and reconcile bank statements, post & finalize entries
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
-Process invoices, track payments, resolve discrepancies, and manage customer or supplier queries
-Assist with month-end close, prepare schedules, and support quarterly corporate reporting
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, assist in financial and tax audits, and maintain internal controls
-Aid the controller and CFO as required, review work of peers, and contribute to process improvements Qualifications & Skills:
-Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial reporting tools (QuickBooks Online experience is an asset)
-Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to analyze financial data
-Effective verbal and written communication for reporting and responding to inquiries
-Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and maintain accuracy
