Human Resources Business Partner in Halifax

Enhance HR strategies at IWK Health as a Human Resources Business Partner in Halifax. This hybrid role focuses on consulting, coaching, and supporting leadership in a unionized healthcare setting. Reporting to the Manager of Labour Relations & HR Partnerships, this temporary full-time position works with all levels of management. You will tackle issues in employee relations, performance management, and organizational design. Additionally, you'll build relationships with clients while navigating the complexities of a unionized environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Coach management on employee relations and performance issues
- Interpret collective agreements and relevant legislation
- Manage grievances and conduct workplace investigations
- Support workforce planning and succession strategies
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts for effective solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
- Five years in HR consulting within unionized environments
- Knowledge of Labour Code and Human Rights Act
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP
