Job Responsibility:
EcoQuest Victoria is looking for a Camp Coordinator to join our team! Have a passion for the environment? Love to work with kids? We are looking for someone with a passion for outdoors, has a sense of adventure, an outgoing confident attitude and a healthy lifestyle.
Must be available 8am-4pm Monday-Friday starting July 4th - September 3rd, 2021. (Training and work hours expected starting from May 20th 2023)
EcoQuest is a full day camp, in which camp participants are involved in activities that connect them to the natural environment. Environmental themes, science experiments, cooperative games, kayaking, hiking, and outdoor adventures and learning. Children connect with nature as they explore local ecosystems and discover nature's wonders by visiting the ocean, marshes and wetlands.
The EcoQuest Summer Camp Coordinator is responsible for the successful running of the EcoQuest Summer Program. This includes the hiring, training and scheduling of the EcoQuest Summer Camp Leaders, conducting camp programming, communicating with camp location programmers and assisting the Program Director where necessary. Additional responsibilities may be required.
Wage:
$700-$800 per week (wage dependent on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
- A background in environmental sciences, education, or camp leadership would be considered an asset.- Candidates should be comfortable working with children ages 7 - 12.- Standard First Aid & CPR-C and a criminal record check are required.- Experience kayaking would also be a plus.
- Full drivers license & access to a vehicle is required
-Must be available to attend training on the following dates May 21-22, May 27-29, and June 15-16.
