Ambulatory General Internal Medicine Specialist

Practice ambulatory general internal medicine in Ottawa, combining patient care with clinical teaching and scholarly collaboration at The Ottawa Hospital.
The Ottawa Hospital and University of Ottawa seek an Academic General Internal Medicine Specialist focused on ambulatory practice. The successful candidate will support perioperative medicine, vascular risk reduction, liver disease, and general internal medicine care. Opportunities also include inpatient General Internal Medicine services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in Ambulatory General Internal Medicine
- Teach and supervise learners in ambulatory clinical settings
- Support perioperative medicine and vascular risk reduction clinics
- Contribute to liver disease and general medicine care
- Collaborate across interdisciplinary clinical and scholarly teams
Requirements:
- Hold an MD degree
- Hold or qualify for General Internal Medicine certification
- Hold or qualify for Ontario licensure
- Hold or qualify for Canadian Medical Protective Association membership
- Demonstrate scholarly skills in research or quality improvement
