Job Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for ICI projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather project requirements and specifications.
- Analyze blueprints, drawings, and project documents to determine project scope and costs.
- Source and evaluate vendor quotes and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date records of project costs and adjustments for accurate reporting.
- Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to minimize financial impacts.
- Assist in the preparation of tender and bid submissions for new projects.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations during the estimation process.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Estimator should have:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and project documents.
- Experience working on commercial fit-out projects.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate cost estimates.
- Experience in the construction or professional services industry is highly valued.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industry-standard estimation software and tools is an asset.
- A proactive and organized approach to managing multiple projects and deadlines.
