Mechanical Estimator - Construction Nutemp Mechanical Systems Ltd. Location Mississauga, ON Salary 80,000 annually / 40 hours per week Full time, 07:00 to 16:00 Starts as soon as possible Benefits: Health benefits, Financial benefits, Other benefits Languages English Education College/CEGEP or equivalent experience Experience 1 year to less than 2 years Work must be completed at the physical Location. There is no option to work remotely. Responsibilities: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Prepare master format estimates (Class A) Prepare elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D) Operate CADD and other computer software systems Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects Project cash flow and financing requirements Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms Utilize quantity take-off procedures Advise on tendering procedures Analyze tenders and recommend awards Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems Monitor and adjust contract expenditures Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates Experience and specialization Computer and technology knowledge Estimating packages Take-off packages Spreadsheet AutoCAD MS Excel MS Word MS PowerPoint Type of experience Mechanical construction Commercial and/or industrial construction Project size estimating experience 0 - 100,000 1,500,001 - 4,000,000 4,000,001 - 8,000,000 8,000,001 + 100,001 - 500,000 Area of work experience Project coordination Additional information Security and safety Criminal record check Driving record check (abstract) Transportation/travel information Own transportation Willing to travel Work conditions and physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Work under pressure Tight deadlines Attention to detail Personal suitability Client focus Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Organized Team player Proactive Time management Benefits Health benefits Dental plan Disability benefits Health care plan Vision care benefits Financial benefits Group insurance benefits Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Other benefits Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP) Free parking available Learning/training paid by employer Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Wellness program Between 02:00 p.m. and 04:00 p.m. Until: 2026-03-11
