Position: Freight Brokerage Representative
Status: Full time hours, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Freight Brokerage Representative to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight brokerage, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service. The Freight Brokerage Representative will be responsible for prospecting, engaging and closing new accounts, along with building and maintaining relationships with a customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage prospective customers
- Form a customer base by establishing communication with customers, understanding their supply chain needs and building proposals to meet their requirements
- Conduct in-person visits to potential and existing customers
- Present and promote the company's freight brokerage services and initiate long-term business relationships
- Develop relationships with carriers and generate new business opportunities in freight brokerage
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers
- Conduct regular check-ins with the team to identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling services
- Act as a point of contact to resolve customers' inquiries and ensure smooth service delivery
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all transactions
- Keep a solid understanding of market conditions and carrier trends to maximize profit margins.
- Provide regular reports on activity
Position Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in freight brokerage sales, supply chain/logistics or related field required
- Advanced customer relationship management, negotiation, and sales skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Results-oriented with a focus on exceeding performance metrics
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) and experience with logistics or client relationship management (CRM) software tools
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and reorganize workload to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and a customer-focused attitude
- Valid G License and access to a vehicle, required.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus commissions, starting at $60,000 per year (based on experience).
