Your new role
The Miner is responsible for performing a variety of underground mining activities to support the safe and efficient extraction of ore. The incumbent operates specialized underground mining equipment to perform drilling, blasting, ground support installation, mucking, haulage, and the installation of temporary and permanent mine services. Working as part of a production team, the Miner ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with mine plans, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
Perform development and production drilling activities using multi-boom jumbo drills and support blasting operations, including the loading of ANFO and emulsion explosives.
Install and maintain ground support systems using mechanized bolters and other specialized ground control equipment.
Conduct primary and secondary mucking and haulage activities using load-haul-dump (LHD) equipment and underground haulage trucks.
Install temporary and permanent mine services, including ventilation, water, air, electrical, and communications infrastructure, utilizing scissor lifts, rough terrain forklifts, and other support equipment.
Inspect work areas and equipment, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Complete assigned work in accordance with mine plans, production schedules, and established procedures while supporting safe and efficient underground operations.
