Your new role  

As a Millwright (Industrial Mechanic), you will support underground mining operations on a major mine extension project near Sudbury, Ontario. Key responsibilities include:

• Install, dismantle, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and process equipment in an underground mining environment.
• Assemble, erect, align, and replace production and infrastructure equipment to ensure operational reliability.
• Service, inspect, and test hoisting systems, hoist ropes, and shaft conveyances.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical fitting work as required.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, work orders, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Adhere to all company safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements while working underground.

What you'll need to succeed  

• Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Certificate of Qualification.
• Minimum Grade 12 diploma or GED.
• Experience working as a Millwright in heavy industrial, mining, processing, or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with pumps, power transmission equipment, mechanical drives, conveyor systems, cranes, and related equipment is considered an asset.
• Ability to work safely in a 100% underground environment and read mechanical and hydraulic blueprints.
