Personal Support Worker

I am urgently in need of a dedicated Personal Support Worker who can start immediately. This part-time position requires a reliable individual who can work throughout the week, from the middle of the day until evening, providing assistance and companionship to an individual with special needs. A valid driver's license and own transportation are necessary for this role, as errands and appointments are common occurrences. As a Personal Support Worker, you'll be responsible for comprehensive assistance, including bathing, grooming, and toileting. Additionally, you'll be tasked with promoting mobility through range of motion exercises and facilitating safe, assisted walking. Housekeeping duties will also be part of the role, including laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, and cleaning the bathroom. Your culinary skills will be utilized for meal planning and preparation, and grocery shopping will also fall within your domain of duties. I also require assistance with planning visits, outings, or trips to neighbours, friends, and family. Experience with Alzheimer/Dementia care is a plus, especially since the individual you will be assisting is a diabetes patient. While this position is portrayed as challenging, it's also rewarding.
