Dental Hygienist

Job Description

A Dental Hygienist plays a crucial role in supporting a medium-sized dental team (6-10 members) by providing preventive oral care and assisting across multiple dental specialties, including General Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Periodontics. They manage a patient volume of under 10 patients per day, using various dental software such as practice management, imaging, and digital charting tools to deliver comprehensive oral health services.

Responsibilities

Conduct patient screening and oral examinations
Perform teeth cleaning and assist in oral exams
Operate dental X-ray equipment safely
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
Maintain infection control and sterilize equipment
Accurately chart dental conditions and treatment details
Collaborate closely with dentists and other team members
Maintain detailed and organized patient records using digital tools

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in dental hygiene
Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) License
Strong patient communication skills
High attention to detail
Effective time management
Proficient record keeping
Teamwork and collaboration
Empathy towards patients
