Position Summary:
As the Director, Customer Marketing, you are a strategic thinker, strong communicator, and exceptional at building lasting client relationships. You are primarily responsible for leading a comprehensive customer marketing strategy that elevates our successful customers and drives advocacy, engagement, and customer value. We are looking for an experienced leader who can confidently bring together cross-functional teams, provide a data-driven point of view and cultivate a high-performing strategy that directly impacts customer retention and community.
With over 4,500 clients spanning a breadth of products and segments on our platform, you’ll have the opportunity to turn incredible customer stories into programs that fuel go-to-market success. You’ll lead customer initiatives that support product launches, key events, press, and commercial motions—driving business impact and deepening relationships with our most valuable asset: our customers.
This role will report to the Vice President, Product Marketing and will work closely with other teams within the company including Customer Success, Product, and Sales. You will have a deep understanding of Kindsight’s markets, customers, and competitors for use in crafting compelling stories and programs that engage our clients and deliver tangible value to our community.
What You'll Do:
Define, own and execute Kindsight’s customer marketing strategy, creating a vision and operational plan that drives customer product education and adoption, increases customer loyalty and lifetime value.
Develop and execute key customer marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer success, product, and sales strategies
Own ideation and execution for campaigns and communications into our customer base owning, 1:1, 1:few and 1:many motions
Build and scale a pipeline of high-impact customer stories across use cases, industries, and personas—driving proof for campaigns, sales, and PR.
Own the strategy, execution, and outcomes for peer review site programs review sites (G2, TrustRadius, etc) and support sales reference programs.
Partner with product marketing and demand gen to activate customer advocates in major launches and GTM plays.
Support customer recruitment, speaker prep, and storytelling for events including Kindcon, conferences, webinars, and industry speaking opportunities.
Work with customer-facing teams to understand customer needs and turn qualitative insights into impactful programs.
Find creative ways to measure the impact of customer marketing on our business, and share these with key stakeholders on a regular basis
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of customer marketing or related experience (at a B2B SaaS company), including 2-3 years of people management experience
Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Marketing, Business, or related field
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, while working across diverse teams
Highly organized project manager, ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines
Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, WordPress, Gong, Gainsight a plus
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders both internal and external
Excellent communicator, with an ability to influence and compel through a confident and credible delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly and persuasively.
Knowledge of the non-profit and fundraising industries or a keen desire to learn
Willingness to travel throughout North America, as required
Compensation Range: $160,000 - $180,000 CAD OTE annually, based on experience, market benchmarks and role complexity. We aim to offer fair, competitive pay that reflects your skills and the market.
