Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate South Indian Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in restaurant kitchen operations. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests while leading and supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Develop and implement innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and handling.
• Collaborate with the restaurant management team to optimize kitchen workflow and efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment.
• Assist in the preparation of South Indian meals, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere that encourages collaboration and creativity.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
• Familiarity with restaurant management practices, including inventory control and cost management.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, management, and guests effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
• Experience in bartending is a plus but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
