Clinical Anesthesia Assistant at CHEO

CHEO is a leader in pediatric health care, seeking an Anesthesia Assistant to join their collaborative anesthesia team. The position requires technical expertise in anesthesia delivery, patient monitoring, and assistance during surgical procedures. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to ongoing education are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia and sedation support for CHEO patients
- Prepare and maintain equipment for anesthetic care
- Administer anesthetic gases and medications under supervision
- Assist with patient monitoring during anesthesia
- Participate in quality management and research initiatives
- Clinical Anesthesia Assistant Certification required
- Minimum one-year experience preferred
- Member of College of Respiratory Therapy or Nursing in Ontario
- Current CPR and BCLS certification
- Strong commitment to collaborative practice
