Position Summary and Scope of Service

Reporting to the Director, Clinical Services and consistent with the mission, values and policies of St.Amant, the Senior Manager, Clinical Services is a critical role in ensuring the success of St.Amant business and operations. Exemplifying the mission, vision and values of St.Amant, the Senior Manager works collaboratively with partnered programs while offering employees respectful customer service. The Senior Manager supervises and coordinates the responsibilities of management positions in Clinical Services. The Senior Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and ensuring effective service operation in Clinical Services. This responsibility includes coordinating with other services internally and externally; strategic planning and implementation; ethics; community relations and partnerships; quality assurance; risk management; program evaluation and accountability; and the stewardship of human, financial and physical resources. The Senior Manager promotes and maintains a professional, team-oriented and person-centred working environment.

Consistent with the Mission, Philosophy and Policies of St.Amant, the Senior Manager is responsible for managing the operations of services ensuring adherence to the policies of the organization and to the requirements of external accrediting and regulatory bodies. The Senior Manager provides direction and supervision to the management team to ensure that services are person and family centered and of highest quality. The Senior Manager identifies trends and needs and coordinates programming to meet such needs. 

The Senior Manager is a key resource to the Director and assumes designate responsibilities as assigned. The Senior Manager participates in the Clinical Services on-call rotation and must have access to a vehicle during work hours. The Senior Manager must possess the ability to work flexible and/or extended hours including evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Occupational Certification:

• Graduate degree from a recognized university in a relevant discipline

• Registered with relevant regulatory body

Professional:

• Minimum five years of formal supervisory or leadership experience

• Minimum five years of experience delivering person-centred services to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, autism or acquired brain injury

• Experience with financial planning, budgeting and expense management

• Excellent knowledge of Code of Ethics, Professional Standards and scope of practice for allied health professionals

• Knowledge of current legislation, philosophy and service trends in the area of autism, developmental or intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injury

• Experience leading in a unionized environment and familiarity with relevant collective agreements is an asset

• Experience planning and leading meetings

• Experience planning, leading and implementing new initiatives

• Superb written and verbal skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
