Experienced Accounting Assistant

The Club is dedicated to providing unparalleled meaningful experiences for its members. OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW We are looking for a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Assistant plays an important role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the Vancouver Club's financial records. RESPONSIBILITIES Accounts Receivables:

• Ensure sales are being recorded accurately on a daily basis and amend transactions as necessary.
• Process credit card payments, cheques, online payments to members' accounts.
• Respond to member inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
• Assist in managing member database as required.
• Review member accounts and the AR aging on a regular basis, and to make friendly follow-up calls on all overdue accounts.

Accounts Payables:

• Process invoices with proper GL coding, verify accuracy, ensure approvals, as they are received.
• Review suppliers statements to ensure no invoices are missing. Contact supplier for any missing invoices.
• Process cheque runs as required and prepare ad hoc cheques as necessary.
• File all invoices once cheques are mailed out.

Other Duties:

• Completion of various month end tasks as required.
• Support the CFO in preparing and reconciling various financial reports as needed.
• Record and reconcile company credit card receipts.
• Provide support to the Accounting team in general.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables combined.
• Proficiency with computer applications (Accounting software, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Possess good work ethics and dependable.
• Must have a professional appearance and manner, a gracious attitude and the ability to interact with diverse groups as well as the ability to build strong relationships within the Club.
