Department Manager, Footwear

Responsibilities
As a Department Sales Manager of Footwear, you will:
- Guide and develop your team, setting expectations and providing constructive feedback.
- Build and manage daily sales plans for the department.
- Create development plans for full‑time staff, coaching to close performance gaps.
- Lead engaging huddles, meetings, and coaching sessions to communicate skills.
- Maintain a positive work environment and excellent customer experience.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, building strong relationships with customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of business growth and exceptional customer service.
- Strong leadership skills and passion for coaching and inspiring a team.
- Customer‑focused mindset and ability to drive sales.
- Deep interest in sports or the sporting‑goods industry is an asset.
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years of retail experience, supervisory level preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to grow sales and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Strong interest or experience in sports or sports‑goods.

Salary
Typical hiring range: $42,500 to $56,250. Salary decisions also consider experience, store size, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity, and role‑specific needs.
