What will your typical day look like?

 

Our team is looking for Analysts to play a key role on M&A and growth capital transactions. As part of your role, you will co-ordinate and perform critical aspects throughout the transaction lifecycle in a client-facing roles, including:

• Work in a collaborative team analyzing client issues and interviewing key personnel.
• Preparing transaction marketing documents, including confidential information memoranda and management presentations to be used by potential acquirors and capital providers
• Analyzing financial data, reviewing accounting records and develop financial models in order to assist clients in understanding potential transaction valuations
• Participate in client presentations
• Conducting financial, business and industry due diligence
• Developing pitch presentations on actionable M&A and financing opportunities
• Supporting internal/external business development initiatives.
• Prioritize your objectives and contribute to project planning and status reporting

Our Corporate Finance professionals enhance value through the delivery of strategic advice and execution services to owner managed mid-market companies, large corporations and financial institutions who are seeking M&A advice that complement their growth strategies. Our team is growing and we have consistently been recognized by Merger Market as the #1 Financial Advisor in Canadian M&A deal activity (measured by deal volume)

 

We work with clients throughout the M&A life cycle from defining our clients’ objectives, creating marketing materials, contacting potential acquirers, negotiating agreements with our clients’ legal team and closing a transaction.

 

Our strategic advisory services include analysis and development of:

 

• Value realization programs including initial public offerings, recapitalizations, or exits via divestiture for corporations, private equity firms, and family enterprises
• Optimal capital structures and financing options for companies at all stages of their capital life cycle
• Growth strategies incorporating business partnerships or structured acquisition programs

 

Transaction execution services include:

 

• Divestiture of businesses (non-core, succession, growth)
• Raising all forms of long-term financing, including senior debt, mezzanine and subordinated debt, and private equity financing
• Management buyouts

In this role, the expected qualifications are: 

• Are working towards completing a post-secondary degree or diploma by September 2027, with outstanding academic credentials.
• Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
• Demonstrates aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as financial analysis or modeling, market research and analysis, project problem diagnosis & solution development
• Understanding of technical corporate finance, capital markets, valuation methodologies, and financial accounting
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent problem solving, project management and interpersonal skills and ability to work in an ambiguous environment
• Strong digital technology skills with productivity and AI tools (Claude, MS CoPilot), and research tools (Pitchbook, Capital IQ)
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.)
• To be eligible for this role, you must be graduating between September 2026 to September 2027.

 

Canadian travel required, occasional international travel. Candidates must be able to enter the USA to work on client assignments.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $56,000.00 - $84,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
