Claims Support Specialist Bilingual (ENG/FR)
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration: ASAP – Oct 31, 2026 (strong possibility of extension up to 12 months)
Pay range: CAD $20-23/hr
Shift Timings:
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM OR
- 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- (Monday to Friday, full-time)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Claims Processing & Administration:
- Manage correspondence (email, calls, mail, fax) and ensure timely processing
- Data entry, validation, and database updates with high accuracy
- Scan, organize, and maintain confidential documents securely
Claimant Support:
- Handle inbound calls with empathy and professionalism
- Conduct outbound follow-ups for missing information
- Communicate claim status updates clearly across channels
Support Tickets & Operations:
- Triage and resolve tickets via internal systems
- Track and document inquiries with accuracy and timeliness
- Escalate sensitive or complex cases appropriately
Claims Coding & QA:
- Accurately code claim details, including sensitive content
- Perform quality checks for compliance and accuracy
- Identify discrepancies and flag issues
Call Center Responsibilities:
- Manage high-volume calls with professionalism and discretion
- Maintain detailed call notes and follow compliance protocols
- Handle emotionally sensitive interactions with composure
Project & Team Support:
- Assist with backlog cleanup and process improvements
- Provide reporting, tracking, and audit support
- Train, coach, and support junior team members
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bilingual in English & French (mandatory)
- 1+ year experience in customer service / call handling / claims support
- Strong data entry and administrative experience
- Ability to handle sensitive and emotionally charged content
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with VOIP or call systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Experience in professional services environment preferred
NICE TO HAVE:
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture
- Ability to speak Indigenous languages (Cree, Inuktitut, Ojibway, etc.)
