Global Trader Communications, part of Scotiabank’s Global Technology Solutions (GTS) and Solutions Integration & Delivery (SI&D) organization, is rooted in understanding our business lines and technologies and collaborating with global CIOs and business lines to deliver high-quality, reliable enterprise solutions in an agile and cost-effective manner while complying with the bank’s security standards and policies.

You will provide thorough leadership to a regional team of high-performance IT professionals and subject matter experts for all data and trader voice technologies‑related activities. You will have global accountability of voice recording technology within Global Trader Voice and for all business partners working in collaboration with HR, Compliance, Legal, and other IT Groups. You report to the Director of Global Operations, Global Trader Communications, Archive and Surveillance Platform Management – Voice Services.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• This is an on‑site role supporting the trading floors in LATAM (Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, and Peru) while working remotely from Toronto.
• Provide support for other Global Trader Voice teams worldwide.
• Opportunity for staggered starting hours.
• Lead the development and implementation of the Global Trader Voice operating model to address voice preservation within Global operating centers, especially in Capital Markets, Sales, and Trading environments.
• Drive the team’s direction and achieve data and voice technologies objectives.
• Collaborate with business, technical, and operational groups across the bank to align technical solutions with business strategy and apply best practices and security standards.
• Manage the workflow for producing voice recordings and evidence for standard and complex global requests, standardizing and consolidating voice recording technology, preservation, and extraction processes.
• Engage bank executives on voice‑related agendas, develop presentations, and assist with communications with regulators and compliance groups.
• Maintain a global operating model, ensuring data integrity and responding to HR, eDiscovery, and Legal on managing discovery requests for IT, while ensuring system availability.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

• Strong communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills in English and Spanish; Portuguese is an asset.
• At least 5+ years of hands‑on people‑management experience within Trader Voice, Recording, or Information Technology.
• Working knowledge of compliance policies and trading practices & workflows relative to the trading businesses.
• At least 5+ years of progressive experience in data and voice at an enterprise scale with industry‑recognised tools (e.g., BT, IPC, Cloud9, Verint, NICE, Redbox) and Cisco CUCM.
• Superior decision‑making skills to resolve work issues under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Advanced interpersonal skills to build critical relationships with internal technology & business stakeholders and external vendors.
