Senior Data Scientist at TRADER

Become a key player in the Data Science division at TRADER, leading AI and machine learning initiatives from Toronto. This role requires advanced data expertise and hands-on experience in ML systems. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will design and manage ML and GenAI systems critical to our marketplace platforms. With over five years of experience, you’ll tackle complex problems while mentoring junior data scientists and enhancing engineering practices. This hands-on role emphasizes your influence on technical decisions and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Own production ML and GenAI systems end-to-end
- Make architectural decisions for AWS-based ML systems
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering for solutions
- Evolve ML systems across various markets
- Mentor junior data scientists with hands-on support
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience with ML systems in production
- Strong Python and ML framework skills
- Familiarity with AWS and MLOps practices
- Experience with GenAI and LLM applications
