Your Role
This role is for an experienced trading operations manager with automated trading and middle‑and back‑office experience, responsible for:
- Leading our US spot exchange operations (Alpaca Crypto LLC)
- Leading our Bahamas spot and derivatives exchange operations (AlpacaX Crypto Limited)
- Building and maintaining our internal trading desk
Things You Get To Do
- Build and manage a globally distributed team of trade ops associates providing 24/5 service coverage.
- Directly engage with our customers, providing world‑class service.
- Review, identify and resolve trade differences.
- Process trade corrections and cancellations.
- Inventory account reconciliation.
- Provide input into new procedures and processes as well as revisions to existing operations procedures and processes.
- Manage our trading desk (internal market maker) and work with engineering to build and monitor trading systems performing automated hedging strategies.
- Manage our global fiat banking relationships.
- Maintain relationships with liquidity providers, token projects and all our vendors.
- Assist with financial and regulatory audits.
- Work closely with engineering to bring industry‑leading crypto products to market.
Who You Are (Must‑Haves)
- Experienced running middle/back office trade operations for a brokerage or crypto exchange.
- Built and managed a globally distributed customer service focused team providing world‑class 24/5 service coverage.
- Experience trading crypto professionally.
- Experience in US crypto regulations.
Who You Might Be (Nice‑To‑Haves)
- Quant research or previously run a trading desk.
- Entrepreneurial experience as co‑founder / founding team of a startup.
- Operated within a SOC 1/2 Type 2 certified environment.
