Project Engineering Coordinator

Will report to the Cernavoda Unit 1 & Qinshan Tooling Project Manager and will be responsible for supporting refurbishment tooling design, manufacturing, testing and delivery. In the role of Project Engineering Coordinator, you will support the Tooling Project Manager by coordinating engineering and tooling activities, tracking technical deliverables, maintaining schedules, and facilitating communication across engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering, procurement, quality, vendors, and refurbishment teams to ensure all activities progress as per project schedule.
• Coordinate progress meetings, status updates and planning/execution workshops as needed.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to support project cost forecasting, progress tracking and performance metrics.
• Co‑ordinate with quality assurance to meet mandatory quality requirements.
• Liaise with stakeholders – including engineering, quality, procurement, and tooling vendors – and maintain positive relationships with client project counterparts.
• Provide status and progress reports in support of the Project Manager.
• Reinforce a strong nuclear safety culture continuously.
• Coordinate with Procurement to track purchase orders, expedite vendor documentation, and monitor order status for accurate month‑end reporting, promptly communicating delays or issues to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting various types of projects, including manufacturing, is an asset.
• Proficiency in project management tools and a demonstrated ability to maintain accurate documentation and ensure consistent follow‑through on assigned actions.
• Appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs in the nuclear industry.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to safety, integrity, trust, teamwork, knowledge sharing, problem solving, and customer focus.
• Excellent organizational, communication and customer relationship skills.

Location

The project team is located at Candu’s head office in Mississauga. Travel to various vendor locations may be required.
