Pfizer seeks a regional field medical affairs scientist in oncology to provide expert medical guidance to internal and external stakeholders across Quebec and Atlantic Canada. The role involves implementing regional medical strategies, fostering key relationships with healthcare professionals and researchers, and identifying research partnerships to advance Pfizer's position in oncology.
Responsibilities
- Deliver medical and scientific expertise to internal and external oncology stakeholders in the region
- Communicate regional insights and actively shape medical affairs strategic planning with cross-functional teams
- Develop and execute regional medical strategy through scientific excellence and medical professionalism
- Conduct non-promotional scientific exchanges with healthcare professionals and researchers
- Identify and advance research opportunities to strengthen Pfizer Canada's healthcare leadership position
Requirements
- MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent doctorate in health sciences
- Experience in medical affairs, clinical research, or healthcare services, preferably pharmaceutical sector
- Oncology expertise, particularly breast and prostate cancer, preferred
- Strong business acumen and understanding of Canadian healthcare system management
- Critical evaluation skills for clinical trials, protocols, and scientific publications
- Strategic thinking with ability to interpret and implement strategic direction
- Advanced English proficiency (oral and written) for international collaboration
