Human Resources Manager

Job Responsibility:
Position Overview: As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a key role in driving HR in executing strategies that support our company's mission and growth across North America. You will oversee the day-to-day management of multiple HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR analytics. This position ensures effective implementation of HR policies and fosters a positive, engaging workplace culture aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead recruitment efforts by partnering with hiring managers to attract, evaluate, and select top talent.
- Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new employees integrate smoothly and effectively.
- Manage job postings and optimize use of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including ADP, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and others.
Performance Management
- Assist with the performance management process, ensuring timely completion of performance reviews and providing guidance to managers.
- Support succession planning initiatives and talent assessment framework.
Employee Relations
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership team on employee relations matters, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts professionally and promptly.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of HR on sensitive or complex employee issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management.
- Partner with Marketing to enhance internal communications and employee engagement campaigns.
Benefits Administration
- Oversee benefits programs, working with vendors to deliver competitive health, insurance, and retirement benefits.
- Manage the annual Open Enrollment process and provide ongoing employee support.
HRIS Management and Reporting
- Manage setup, reporting, and maintenance of HR data within ADP
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports to inform leadership decisions.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Maintain compliance with Quebec and U.S. labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Lead annual compliance training initiatives for managers and employees.
- Manage government relations related to labor regulations and HR compliance.
Employee Offboarding and Leave Management
- Oversee offboarding processes, including exit interviews and documentation, ensuring positive transitions.
- Manage leave policies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian (especially Quebec) and U.S. labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS platforms, preferably ADP, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, CHRP, or equivalent) is an asset.
