Assistant Project Manager, Construction

Responsibilities (English)
Lead project team meetings and coordinate project activities to ensure deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
Initiate, build, and coordinate budgets while ensuring deliverables are achieved within the agreed project schedule and budget.
Coordinate pre‑construction, construction, and post‑construction activities and manage leasing projects, as well as assist property management with construction/maintenance projects.
Review project plans on a weekly basis, prepare and submit weekly status reports, define context and limitations, monitor project deliverables, and communicate any issues that may impact team delivery to senior management.
Engage in ongoing troubleshooting and issue resolution with internal resources.
Report program results to senior management, develop forecasts and plans, and execute programs.
Collaborate with project teams and internal stakeholder groups continuously.
Coordinate tenant activities on leasing and development sites: review Schedule C, markup for leasing, review tenant plans, and coordinate utilities or other service installations.
Attend and generate minutes for design, site, real estate, and development meetings.
Conduct due diligence by sourcing historical data on properties from various sources.
Complete project close‑out process; record drawings, file management, O&M manuals, tenant possession and inspections, and tenant documentation.
Perform general project administration: invoice processing, project cost tracking and forecasting, change management, file management throughout pre‑construction, construction, and close‑out, and project tracking updates.
Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities (French)
Diriger les réunions d’équipe de projets, diriger et coordonner les activités de projets pour veiller à ce que les livrables soient réalisés dans les délais et dans les limites du budget.
Établir, élaborer et coordonner les budgets et s’assurer que les livrables sont réalisés conformément à l’échéancier et au budget convenus.
Coordonner les activités d’avant construction, de construction et d’après construction, ainsi que de la gestion des projets de location, et aider la gestion immobilière avec les projets de construction et d’entretien.
Examiner les plans de projet chaque semaine, préparer et soumettre des rapports d’état hebdomadaires, définir le contexte et les limites, surveiller les livrables du projet et communiquer à la haute direction tout problème pouvant avoir une incidence sur la livraison de l’équipe.
Dépannage continu et résolution de problèmes; collaborer avec diverses ressources internes pour trouver des solutions.
Faire rapport des résultats du programme à la haute direction, élaborer des prévisions, planifier et exécuter les programmes.
Travailler en collaboration avec les équipes de projet et divers groupes d’intervenants internes sur une base continue.
Coordination avec les locataires concernant les sites de location et de développement; passer en revue l’annexe C pour s’assurer que les dessins et la portée saisissent les exigences du bail; modifier l’annexe C pour la location afin qu’elle corresponde aux conditions existantes, le cas échéant; et examiner les plans des locataires et fournir des révisions de dessins, coordonner avec le locataire pour les installations de services publics ou autres.
Assister aux réunions de conception, de site, d’immobilier et de développement et générer des procès‑verbaux.
Diligence raisonnable – extraire les données historiques sur les propriétés de diverses sources.
Effectuer le processus de clôture des projets; consigner les dessins, la gestion des dossiers, les manuels d’exploitation et de maintenance, la prise de possession et les inspections des locataires et la documentation des locataires.
Administration générale des projets: traitement des factures, suivi et prévision des coûts de projet, gestion du changement, gestion des dossiers tout au long de la phase avant la construction, de la construction et de la clôture, et mises à jour de suivi des projets.
Effectuer toute autre tâche assignée.
Qualifications (English)
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience with a university degree and/or post‑secondary education in construction, architecture or engineering.
Commercial construction experience is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage timelines and budgets to ensure delivery of project objectives.
Experience developing detailed project plans using project management tools and methodologies.
Strong planning and execution skills.
Superior analytic, problem‑solving and judgment skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and actions to all levels of the organization.
Experience with process redesign, process mapping and documentation.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, challenging and constantly changing work environment.
Strong technical skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); MS Project.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel to various project locations across Eastern Canada.
Bilingual fluency in both French and English is required.
Qualifications (French)

Expérience dans l’élaboration de plans de projet détaillés à l’aide des outils et des méthodologies de gestion de projets.
Compétences solides en planification et en exécution.
Compétences supérieures en analyse, en résolution de problèmes et sens du jugement.
Capacité avérée à communiquer efficacement des idées et des actions aux personnes de tous les niveaux de l’entreprise.
Expérience en refonte de processus, en schématisation des processus et en documentation.
Capacité à réussir dans un milieu de travail dynamique, exigeant et en constante évolution.
Compétences techniques solides (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) et MS Project.
Permis de conduire valide requis.
Possibilité de voyager dans divers emplacements de projet dans l’est du Canada.
Maîtrise impeccable du français et de l’anglais.
