Construction Health and Safety Project Manager – Metrolinx Rapid Transit
Join Metrolinx as a Construction Health and Safety Project Manager, focusing on Rapid Transit initiatives. This role guarantees project safety through effective health and safety management. As part of our Capital Projects Group, the position entails oversight of safety programs for large-scale transit infrastructure projects in Ontario. You’ll collaborate with various teams to develop and implement safety plans while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Your leadership will be vital in fostering safe operations and mitigating risks across project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a safety culture through training and engagement
- Review and audit construction safety practices
- Coordinate safety inspections and contractor assessments
- Provide technical direction to safety personnel
- Analyze construction activities for safety improvements
Requirements
- Degree in Safety, Engineering, or Architecture
- Progressive experience in construction safety management
- Certifications such as CRSP or CSP considered an asset
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
