Join the Extensive Needs Service team at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital as a part-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Provide specialized care for youth with complex health needs. This role offers a unique opportunity for a child psychiatrist to work with young patients aged birth to 19 within an interprofessional team. You will assess, diagnose, and intervene based on individual needs, collaborating closely with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive treatment. The position supports children and families facing neurodevelopmental disabilities and mental health complexities. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care in a collaborative healthcare team
- Assess and diagnose mental health and behavioral disorders
- Prescribe medications for treatment plans
- Participate in weekly interprofessional rounds
- Collaborate with relevant healthcare professionals
- Medical degree (MD) and FRCPC in psychiatry
- Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- 2+ years training or experience in child/adolescent psychiatry
- Preferred 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
