Part-Time Student Nurse Extern Role
Humber River Regional Hospital
Embark on a rewarding journey as a Part-Time Student Nurse Extern with Humber River Health. This role offers hands-on experience in patient care within the Alternative Level of Care facility. Currently enrolled in a nursing program, you will provide direct personal support to patients, assisting with daily living activities under the supervision of Registered Nurses. This temporary part-time position features rotating shifts with diverse hours and is based at the Reactivation Care Centre, Finch site. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities like bathing and feeding
- Support meal delivery and visitor policies
- Document patient care activities accurately
- Collaborate with the recreation therapist's programming
- Report clinical concerns to a supervisor
- Enrolled in years 2-4 of a nursing program
- Current CPR certification strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of healthcare technology
- Excellent attendance and discipline-free record
