Part-Time Nurse Extern in Critical Care

Elevate your nursing education by working as a part-time Student Nurse Extern in Critical Care at Humber River Health. This role provides direct personal support to patients. You will engage with patients by addressing their basic care needs, such as bathing and feeding, while working closely under the supervision of Registered Nurses. Documentation of daily living activities is essential, supporting both patient care and effective communication with the healthcare team. This position emphasizes strong customer service skills in providing compassionate support. Key Responsibilities:
- Support patients with daily living activities and needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of care services
- Communicate with the healthcare team effectively and accurately
- Report any concerns or changes in patient status
- Participate in mandatory HRH training programs
- Current enrollment in years 2-4 of nursing program
- CPR certification needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow supervision for direct care
- Good attendance and understanding of diversity principles
