Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Retail Business Analyst with strong experience in retail domain processes and system implementations, preferably within Oracle Retail environments. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business and IT by gathering requirements, defining solutions, and supporting implementation to improve retail operations. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle Retail modules, strong integration knowledge, and the ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements. 

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements. 
• Functional Specifications: Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories. 
• Workshops & Analysis: Conduct workshops, interviews, and gap analysis sessions. 
• Cross-Functional Operations: Work across key retail functions including Merchandising, Pricing & Promotions, Inventory Management, Store Operations, and Order Management / Omnichannel. 
• Process Improvement: Provide insights into retail best practices and process improvements. 
• Documentation: Prepare BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and use cases. 
• Solution Design: Support solution design in collaboration with architects and technical teams while ensuring alignment between business requirements and system capabilities. 
• End-to-End Implementation: Participate in end-to-end implementations across design, SIT, UAT, and go-live phases. 
• Testing & Validation: Support system configuration validation and functional testing. 
• Deployment Support: Assist with cutover planning and hypercare activities. 
• UAT Coordination: Define and execute UAT test cases and scenarios, coordinate with business users during testing cycles, and validate defect fixes to ensure overall solution quality. 
• Data Management: Analyze business data and support data validation, reconciliation, and reporting while ensuring data accuracy during migration and system implementation. 

Required Skills & Experience

• Retail Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of retail processes and operations. 
• Oracle Retail Modules: Deep experience across multiple Oracle Retail modules, including RMS (Retail Merchandising System), ReSA (Retail Sales Audit), RPM (Retail Price Management), SIM (Store Inventory Management), Xstore POS, OMS / Order Broker, and Customer Engagement. 
• Business Analysis: Proven expertise in requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation. 
• Technical Tools: Familiarity with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and MS Visio. 
• Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focused, analytical approach. 
• Integration & Architecture: Experience with Oracle Retail Integration Bus (RIB), OCI, or microservices architecture is preferred. 
• Transformation Programs: Proven experience in solution architecture for large-scale retail transformation programs, alongside the ability to create high-level and low-level design artifacts. 
• Enterprise Principles: Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles. 
• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders, influence decisions, and drive architectural governance. 
• Global Teams: Experience working effectively with global and distributed teams. 

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 
• Oracle Retail certifications are considered a major plus. 

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in Oracle Retail implementations or upgrades. 
• Exposure to fast-paced omnichannel retail environments. 
• Prior experience working with system integrators or large retail organizations.
