Clinical Practice Manager

Job Responsibility:
Reporting to Chief Nursing Executive (CNE), the Clinical Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring quality patient care through the advancement of nursing knowledge and professional practice. The Clinical Practice Manager plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates the Clinical Education Program, and the ongoing Clinical Education through best practices of staff.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Education and Practice Support
- Lead nursing and interprofessional staff in evidence-based practices and strategies for change
- Support clinical decision-making and problem-solving through coaching, case review, and bedside teaching
- Act as a resource for staff, providing guidance on achieving patient-focused outcomes
- Develop and maintain care standards in alignment with corporate strategy and regulatory requirements
- Serve as a role model in the application of nursing process, practice standards, and education delivery
Program Planning and Evaluation
- Design and evaluate clinical and professional development programs based on staff needs and regulatory requirements
- Conduct learning needs assessments and establish measurable clinical outcomes
- Lead and support quality improvement and research initiatives related to clinical education
Leadership and Collaboration
- Provide direction and oversight for nursing education across programs and specialties
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Recent experience delivering education in clinical or academic settings
Preferred Assets:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) or 5 years of recent, relevant clinical experience
- Experience in planning, developing, and evaluating educational programs
- Post-basic education in Intensive Care Nursing or Obstetrics
- CPR Instructor and ACLS Provider/Instructor certifications
