Sr. Purchasing Coordinator (Fixed Term)

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Senior Purchasing Coordinator to manage purchase orders and supplier relationships for distribution centers and direct customer shipments in Ottawa. The role involves coordinating inventory replenishment, resolving supply chain issues, and collaborating across teams to maintain optimal stock levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete purchase order lifecycle from release through receipt
• Maintain supplier relationships and facilitate information flow with stakeholders
• Resolve supply chain challenges and process priority orders
• Monitor inventory levels for distribution centers and direct shipments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address time-sensitive matters

Requirements

• 1+ year experience in supply chain, purchasing, or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work in high-volume environments
• Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiations
• Knowledge of purchase order processing and inventory management
• Preferred knowledge of distribution and supply chain operations

Compensation: $41,200–$61,750 annualized
