About the Role The Controller is the Business Partner responsible for supporting the cement product line. The role assists in the development and implementation of product line objectives and strategies, ensures effective control in financial management reporting systems, and provides Product Line Finance Directors and Operating Managers with accurate financial information and strategic support including budgeting and forecasting.
What You'll Accomplish Provide financial support to senior management, review and analyze financial results, and identify areas for improvement.
Interpret events and activities from a financial perspective and provide recommendations.
Assist in all financial planning activities concerning monthly forecasts and the Mid‑Term Plan (MTP).
Perform financial modeling and quantitative analysis of information.
Provide financial guidance and support to operational teams as required.
Prepare monthly journal entries and reconcile asset and liability accounts.
Work closely with the business to prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
Manage accounting and reporting functions at the market area level, including management reports and presentations.
Maintain financial and accounting controls and oversee adherence to company policies.
Oversee and manage inventory and fixed assets through balance sheet review and reconciliation.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments.
What We're Looking For Education: University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
Experience: At least five years of financial management experience with increasing responsibility and complex roles.
Certifications: Professional accounting designation required (CMA, CGA, CPA, or CA).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and SAP.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 25%.
Additional Requirements: IFRS / US GAAP knowledge is considered an asset.
Demonstrated financial/business analysis and cost control skills.
Detailed knowledge of Amrize plant operations is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Strong ability to influence with and without authority.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
