Position: Medical Receptionist
Employment Type: Contract and Permanent
Location: Halton
Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.00

Responsibilities
- Warmly greet patients upon arrival and manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments online and over the phone
- Manage and update patient records, charts, and demographic details through EMR software

- Answer incoming phone calls, address patient inquiries, and route calls to appropriate clinical staff
- Process patient billing, verify insurance details, and handle third-party/OHIP billing submissions
- Manage administrative tasks such as processing faxes, emails, medical referrals, and lab results
- Adhere to all clinic operating procedures and privacy regulations (PHIPA)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and waiting area

Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical receptionist or healthcare administration role
- Experience working with EMR systems (e.g., OSCAR, Telus Practice Solutions, Accuro, or similar)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures is considered a strong asset
- Self-starter, organized, and detail-oriented with a compassionate and professional demeanor
- Capable of multi-tasking and producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to the daily requirements of a healthcare clinic
